There are many small changes we can make to our everyday activities in the home such as cooking, washing and heating, as well as cost effective ways we can keep cold and moisture out. These ‘interventions’ may be small, but can add up to make large savings long term.

Get help in your home
Groundwork’s Green Doctors visit people’s homes to show them how to save energy, help resolve billing issues and access other community services.
This free and impartial advice is available to those most in need. If you are struggling with your bills, in debt or having to choose between eating and heating, our energy efficiency experts may be able to help if you meet the eligibility criteria. In order to qualify you will need to be a person living with a disability, physical or mental health issues or dementia, living on a low income or with debt, living in either poor housing conditions or emergency accommodation, in receipt of benefits, aged over 65 or a young person or part of a family containing children under the age of five.
