Your Corporate Volunteering Day with Groundwork Northamptonshire.

Volunteering with Groundwork gives your team a day that delivers for your business and for the local community. Whether you’re fulfilling a corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment, building team connections, or working towards environmental targets, we provide a structured, well-run day with measurable impact.

Climate action
Every tree and shrub your team plants captures carbon dioxide, making a direct contribution to tackling climate change. Over the last three years, the trees and shrubs planted at our sites will sequester 178.80 tonnes of CO₂ – equivalent to the total annual energy use of 66 average UK homes. After your day, we can provide an impact report detailing your team’s specific contribution, ready to use in your own sustainability reporting.

Corporate sustainability goals
Our volunteering days are designed to align with your CSR and environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments, and to give you something concrete to show for them. We tailor every day to your group, provide full impact data, and can support a programme of activity if a one-off day isn’t enough.

Community impact
Your team’s efforts directly support green spaces that local people rely on. Many businesses use our volunteering days for team building, and some have made them part of their induction process for new team members – a practical, memorable way to bring people into your workforce and your culture from day one.

The work your team does in a single day can achieve more than community groups can manage in a month without support.

Volunteering days take place across two of our Groundwork Northamptonshire-managed sites:

  • The Green Patch is a 2.5-acre community garden in Kettering, used by schools, volunteers, community groups, and young people throughout the year. Volunteer tasks include tree and shrub planting, habitat creation, pond and orchard work, and general garden maintenance.
  • Twywell Hills & Dales is a nature reserve a few miles from Kettering, offering a wilder setting for conservation work including meadow scrub clearance, orchard maintenance, nature surveying, and footpath and fencing repairs.

What to expect
Every day is tailored to your group. We run half and full day sessions for groups of different sizes, with a first aid trained team leader throughout and all tools and materials provided. Pricing starts from £1,900 + VAT for up to 25 people, with an additional per-person charge beyond that. Economy of scale pricing is available for multiple bookings.
