Impact
Groundwork’s Wellies in the Woods is a magical experience for children and families alike, with many opportunities for learning and development for children as well as their families to forge new friendships. Read about the experiences of some of those who have attended our sessions:
We feel better after attending a Wellies in the Woods session – being outdoors noticeably improves our wellbeing. We go every week, even in the winter when it’s cold or wet!

My son absolutely thrived – he loved the freedom to have some space to retreat to and engage with activities when he was ready
By the second or third week, you’re really seeing different connections. Mostly, it’s the confident children who are helping the children that aren’t so confident. Then the mums will start chatting with one another, and it becomes this lovely support group.
