The Little Walled Garden Community Hub
The Little Walled Garden is a green community hub in Bilborough (Nottingham) where we host events for the whole community.
Over the past year, we have hosted dozens of green skills courses where local people learned allotment growing and gardening, building fences, sheds, and other DIY projects. Took a look below at upcoming activity and get involved!

Volunteering
Help us to maintain this lovely space so we can host events including children’s play sessions, Forest School, adult learning, and more.
Projects include building a cob oven for social eating, DIY, and gardening. You’ll learn new skills, get to meet people, have fun, and give back to your community.
Dates and times are flexible to your needs. People of all ages and abilities are welcome to try a one-off trial session or become a regular volunteer! Be part of something special for the whole community to enjoy.
Corporate volunteering
We regularly welcome corporate volunteers to our Little Walled Garden community hub for a day of volunteering.
Tasks can vary from gardening, planting seeds, repotting, harvesting produce, to DIY projects such as building raised beds, seating, fencing, and infrastructure including sheds and an outdoor workshop.
Our corporate volunteering days always have fun, teambuilding, and accessibility at its heart. We can host groups of up to 20 people for a full day, for just £1,500 + VAT!
No previous skills, knowledge, or experience are required, your team can just turn up and get stuck in. Rest assured our staff will guide you safely in learning new skills or using specific equipment throughout the day.

Supplies and material donations
We are looking for supplies and materials that help us make the Hub into a thriving space for the whole community.
We welcome donations from individuals, businesses, community groups and other organisations. Any and all support is much appreciated.

Gardening Supplies: Seeds (vegetables, herbs, flowers), compost and topsoil, mulch and wood chips, gardening gloves, hand tools, watering cans and hoses
Building Materials: Wood bricks and paving stones, nails, screws, and fixings, paint and wood treatment
Tools and Equipment: Spades, rakes, hoes, wheelbarrows compost bins and water butts, power tools
Infrastructure and Furniture: Polytunnels or greenhouses, shed or storage units
