Wellies in the Woods at Gresley Wood in Swadlincote are FREE play sessions for children aged 2 – 5 years old.

These groups for pre-schoolers combine playing in nature with learning, socialising, creativity, and allow children’s natural curiosity to run wild. 🌱🐛🍃

Each session includes story time, with activities built around the story, from scavenger hunts and learning about bugs, to making art with nature.

We will be reading all the classics – from the Gruffalo to the Stick Man!

Every Friday 10am – 11:30am, first session 15th August and last session 3rd October. If you can’t make every session, you can still sign up.

Location: Gresley Wood, Swadlincote. Meeting place: Albert Village Lake car park, DE11 8HG

These sessions are welcoming, friendly, and fun for all!

An adult must accompany children, and we advise you to dress for the weather and bring a drink.

All sessions are free of charge, with funding provided by Groundwork.

We want to make them as enjoyable as possible so please let us know of any accessibility requirements you may have – including dietary requirements, as we will be providing snacks.
