Over winter we worked with CPRE Derbyshire to plant and restore over 2 kilometres of hedgerow in Derbyshire.

We smashed our target with:
a total of 2.4km new and 200 metres of rejuvenated hedgerows
a total of 11,393 native hedges planted at 13 sites

We were joined by 155 local volunteers, from primary school children to professionals on a team day to retired nature-lovers.

Every single person has worked hard to help us reach our goal and we’re so grateful for their support.

Hedgerows can prevent soil erosion, increase biodiversity by providing wildlife habitats, and can increase the beauty of the landscape.

We also hosted hedgelaying sessions, a traditional woodland management technique where living trees are cut and bent to create a living hedge.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who took part! Your contribution will make a huge difference to our environment and wildlife.
