New Green Skills programme looking for recruits in Bedford
We have a small number of spaces available on our Green Skills programme for adults looking to progress towards further training, volunteering or employment.
Based in Bedford, our Green Skills programme supports people to improve their wellbeing, confidence and future opportunities through practical environmental activity and personal development. Combining conservation and landscaping work with employability training, accredited learning and mental health awareness, the programme helps participants develop valuable skills while making a positive difference to local green spaces and communities. Activities typically include habitat improvement, practical horticulture, teamwork, wellbeing sessions and support with progression into volunteering, training or employment.
Participants have the opportunity to gain AQA Unit Awards and work towards a Health, Safety and Environment Certificate, which supports future applications for Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card; plus the theme of the course enables participants to improve a local green space and support biodiversity.

There will be two practical days and one classroom-based employability session each week, along with CV, interview, job searching and workplace skills support.
