Green Sparks
Green Sparks is our three day outdoor activity project in Cambridgeshire for 18 – 21* year olds that demonstrates the benefits of connecting with nature for physical and mental wellbeing, with a focus on increasing confidence.
(*Age range extends to 16 and 17 for those who are NEET, and up to 25 for those with SEND)
Core aims
- To increase emotional regulation and self awareness
- To build confidence through doing
- To improve mental wellbeing through nature, creativity and routine
Join a small friendly group where you can explore nature in the beautiful community gardens, try outdoor activities, feel inspired about your future, build confidence, meet new people and learn new skills.

The Youth Guarantee Trailblazer [Green Sparks] is helping young people across the region to build the confidence, skills and aspirations they need to move towards education, employment or training and thrive in the future. Following a successful pilot in Year 1, we are delighted to be working with Groundwork East again in Year 2 to deliver Green Sparks. Through practical outdoor activities and tailored support, the programme will help young people develop resilience, discover their strengths and take positive steps towards their future, and we look forward to seeing its impact across the region.
