Grow It, Cook It

Groundwork runs courses that introduce families to growing and cooking, to improve their health and well-being.
Why do we run these courses?
Growing food at home is not an option for some families, especially those who live in flats or homes that do not have gardens. This course allows parents and children to understand how fruit and vegetables are grown and provide information about the benefits of healthy eating and lifestyles as well as environmental issues such as composting and wildlife in gardens.
Join our course for families and enjoy learning how to grow fresh fruit and vegetables and make healthy snacks. Learn new skills whilst you plant seeds, water the garden, prepare and share food and have fun in the fresh air!
Sessions are suitable for 3 – 8 years and click below to find out more about what is available near you:

Family stories
It was a really excellent course and we all loved coming to it. It was well-run and an amazing experience to learn all about it.
We spent time in the garden together and my daughter looks every day to see how much they have grown and what she can pick and eat. We have had so much success growing that we can give some to family and friends.
With thanks for funding and support from London Luton Airport and Bedford Borough Council
