Salary: | £5,016.67 per annum (FTE £26,875.02) |
Hours: | Average of 7 per week but will vary depending on delivery (5 sessions over a 2 month period, each session lasts 4 – 6 hours) |
The Senior Youth Worker plays a pivotal role in the implementation and delivery of Groundwork South’s Fusion youth project working with Adopted young people aged between 7-17 in partnership with Adopt South. We run a yearlong course of sessions, workshops and trips to various attractions across Hampshire & the Isle of Wight.
The central focus for the Senior Youth Worker is to deliver outstanding services for young people consisting of planning a Programme of activities, undertaking risk assessments, supervising sessional staff, direct face to face delivery with young people, monitoring and evaluation.
You will support the Project Manager with implementing and quality assuring best practice procedures relating to safeguarding, volunteer management and health and safety in order to achieve a safe environment for young people to grow and develop.
This role would be ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting Adopted young people achieve their individual potential, creating opportunities to develop both socially and engage with each other through activities within the region.
You must have the ability to travel across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, a full UK driving licence with access to a car will be advantageous for this role to as some activities are on more remote sites.
