Nikki, from Walk it Off NI worked with two Sheds to take them on a wonderful, guided tour of Lady Dixon Park and Hidden Huntley in Lisburn.
With tasty food and the beautiful background of the park, who could ask for more?
This was a wonderful experience for the attendees who were taken on a walk, matched to their ability, given the history of the park and had the opportunity to share stories.
A Winning Combination
They were then treated to a gorgeous picnic including lentil crisps. Combining food and a walk is a winning combination according to the men!
After a long two years of not being able to connect with others, this was a lovely way for the Shed members to engage with each other, and explore their enthusiasm for the natural world at a gentle pace.
