Groundwork North Wales has experience of working with a diverse range of local communities for over 21 years, developing and managing Community Projects . Our role is to help local people get practically involved in making decisions and managing improvements in their neighbourhood whilst developing their skills and improving their quality of life.
From a small community garden, to capital projects and Green Energy initiatives, we bring stakeholders together and deliver projects that make a difference to people’s lives and their environment. We help people improve the appearance of their school grounds, parks, gardens, housing and industrial estates and help communities reduce their carbon footprint and save energy.
Our main clients are community based groups and organisations, schools , the voluntary sector, local authorities, town and parish councils, and housing associations. We don't provide funding for projects, but we can help communities to match existing funds and find new funding streams, grants and donations.
Our experience includes;
• Landscape design expertise to facilitate the development of professionally designed community gardens, parks, play areas, footpaths and natural spaces.
• Involving communities in local consultations and practical workshops to help them improve where they live - and their quality of their life - through meaningful involvement in the development of their neighbourhood.
• Providing expert Project Management to oversee all aspects of project development and delivery, working closely with partner organisations and communities.
• Working with volunteers to enable them to develop open spaces in their communities by engaging them in practical green activities.
