The Development Coach is responsible for the delivery, coordination and continuous development of Groundwork’s wellbeing, employability and community support programmes. Working with individuals who may experience complex barriers to employment, training, volunteering and social inclusion, the role combines group-based programme delivery with personalised one-to-one support to help participants improve their wellbeing, build confidence, develop resilience and progress towards positive outcomes. The postholder will establish effective partnerships across health, voluntary, community and employment support services, ensuring participants can access the right support at the right time while meeting programme targets, outcomes and funder requirements.

This is a rewarding role suited to a motivated and values-driven youth work professional with a passion for helping young people overcome barriers, build resilience and achieve positive outcomes.

You will have experience of working with young people facing marginalisation or complex challenges, alongside a strong track record of delivering high-quality, community-based youth work.

You will have a sound understanding of youth work principles, safeguarding, and
effective case management. You will be confident leading youth projects, managing budgets, collecting outcome data and working in partnership with other organisations to provide coordinated support for young people.

You will have a strong awareness of the social and economic challenges affecting diverse communities and be committed to creating inclusive opportunities that enable young people to thrive. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences using a variety of approaches, including digital media.

A clean and valid UK driving licence is required due to travel across Greater Manchester.

The Learning Co-ordinator will lead the delivery, quality and development of Groundwork Yorkshire’s adult learning provision, initially focusing on the Leeds City Council Tailored Learning Contract.
