Give back to the people and the places that need us the most this Christmas. Over this past year, communities have needed our support more than ever to rebuild following the pandemic.
For schools, they are depending on their outdoor areas more than ever before to provide outdoor learning and education to children. But many schools are located near busy main roads with no barrier, opening them up to air pollution that can cause lasting effects on the children that go there.
That’s why Balfour Beatty are working with Groundwork and raising funds to create natural pollution barriers in primary schools in the areas where employees live and work. Your fundraising will help us to deliver more of these projects so that children are able to learn outdoors safely.

Hold a Christmas Jumper Day and award a prize to whoever styles it out best! Ask colleagues to make a donation for taking part.
Festive Bake Sale
Because it wouldn’t be fundraising if we didn’t mention cake… Or ramp up the competition with a mince pie bake off!
Secret Santa Donation
We’re big fans of a Secret Santa here at Groundwork – if you are too, maybe this year you could ask colleagues to donate a couple of pounds from their Secret Santa budget to Groundwork.
Christmas Craft Sale
Christmas is a great time to get crafty and creative – could you host a Christmas Craft Sale in your offices?
Christmas Quiz
Everyone loves a good old Christmas Quiz! Get your colleagues together in person or online and ask for a donation to take part.
Sell Groundwork Christmas Cards
