Green Jobs
Groundwork is supporting people from all backgrounds into green jobs.
Putting local people at the heart of a global conversation about the climate and nature emergency.
Most people agree on the need to tackle climate change and restore the balance between people and nature. We believe it is possible to meet that challenge head on but we must act now, and work together, in order to be successful.
From our 40 years of experience, we know that efforts to tackle climate change needs to come from the bottom-up as well as the top-down and we can help engage communities in conversations and action around the climate and nature emergency who might not normally get involved or get their voices heard.
Our expert staff are supporting communities to take practical action in their local areas. Doing jobs that protect the environment. Creating places that help to protect us from the impacts of climate change. Supporting young people to become the next generation of green leaders. Delivering a wide range of projects to make the places where they live fit for a greener future.
As heads of state, business leaders, scientists, and campaigners gear up for COP 27, in Egypt, we remain committed to promoting and shining a light on the incredible community climate action taking place in our towns and cities and to putting local people at the heart of a global conversation.
