If your organisation is not located in England and your project will not be delivered in England you are not eligible to apply. For more information about eligibility please see page 2 of the Comic Relief Fund guidance document.

If you are located in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland please contact the following organisations for information about Comic Relief funding:

Your organisation must meet all of the following criteria:
- Is based within the area where you are carrying out activities
- Has local people involved in the running of the organisation as trustees/staff/volunteers
- Is not for profit
- Has an annual income of £250,000 or less.
- Your governing document must include a dissolution clause or asset lock which includes appropriate statements on members not benefiting financially from the organisation or its dissolution (Please note if your organisation is linked to a parent organisation or is a sub-Committee and does not have its own legal status, we will need the constitution and financial documents of the main organisation).
- Your governing document should also include information about how your organisation specifically supports people at risk of or experiencing poverty. This could include wording along these lines in your aims or objectives:
- Has its own safeguarding policy
- Has at least two unrelated people on the committee
- Has its own bank account with a minimum of two unrelated signatories.
- Is not a statutory organisation
- If you are a Community Interest Company, you must have been in existence for two years and have your latest set of accounts available
- If you are a Private Limited Company, you must be a PLC by Guarantee without share capital

If your organisation cannot meet each of the criteria outlined, you are not eligible to apply. Organisations must:
- be not for profit
- have an annual income of £250,000 or less
- have a governing document
- have a safeguarding policy
- have at least 2 unrelated people on the committee
- have its own bank account with 2 signatories
- have been in existence for two years (if you are a CIC) and have your latest set of accounts available
If you are a Private Limited Company you must be a PLC by Guarantee without share capital

Will your project meet the programme focus on supporting the following:
Please note unlike in previous rounds we will not accept applications where the principal focus is mental health. We may still fund projects where mental health is part of a wider piece of work (e.g. supporting survivors of domestic violence with their mental health, as part of a wider project), however we won’t fund any applications where mental health work is the principal and sole focus of the application
- Organisations that are tackling the immediate and urgent impacts of being in poverty, including providing essential resources like food, shelter, advice and healthcare. For example, foodbanks, community kitchens, homeless shelters, welfare advice agencies and health outreach projects.
- Organisations working to empower communities to take positive steps to lift themselves out of poverty in the longer term. For example, projects that build skills, increase access to employment, strengthen financial resilience or develop community-led solutions.
- Something else / none of the above
