Environmental Education Specialist
Ever wondered what it’s like to get people excited about nature? As an Environmental Education Specialist, that’s your focus! You’ll deliver projects connecting communities with the environment, from carbon and water literacy to gaining qualifications. Expect variety, engaging young people as Junior River Wardens and running outdoor courses for diverse groups – adults with learning difficulties, the homeless, retirees – focusing on wellbeing through nature in parks and allotments. Think woodland management, encouraging wildlife, and building bug hotels!
You’ll lead activities helping people understand environmental impacts, like growing and cooking to highlight sustainable living and reduce food miles. Our wild play sessions for pre-schoolers and families – muddy wellies and den building – foster a love for the natural world.
