Environmental Education Specialist
Job Summary
Expect serious variety. You’ll engage young people as Junior River Wardens and run outdoor courses for diverse groups—adults with learning difficulties, homeless communities, retirees—all focused on wellbeing through nature in parks and allotments. Think woodland management, wildlife encouragement, bug hotel construction. You’ll lead activities helping people understand environmental impacts through growing and cooking, highlighting sustainable living and reducing food miles. Those wild play sessions for pre-schoolers and families? Muddy wellies, den building, pure joy—fostering a lifelong love for the natural world.
This is inspiration work. You’ll empower people to act, get involved in their communities, learn about the environment, and genuinely boost their wellbeing. You’re the motivator, guiding people to take their next positive steps whilst working in a welcoming culture that values development and progression.
What we’re looking for: Environmental knowledge, confidence speaking to diverse groups, and genuine care for people and the planet. Ideally, you’re an inspirational, proactive leader. Join us and make a real difference, empowering communities through nature.
