Fundraising Standards
At Groundwork we’re passionate about creating a future where every neighbourhood is vibrant and green, every community is strong and able to shape its own destiny and no-one is held back by their background or circumstances. As an organisation we’re committed to building a culture of inclusion and acting as an environmental exemplar.
The generous support we receive from our partners, volunteers and donors enables us to fulfil our charitable objectives. In order to ensure that everything we do helps us uphold our values and does not compromise these charitable aims, all our partnerships are subject to an ethical check. In the case of our business partners this may include undertaking research to gain an understanding of your approach to equity, diversity and inclusion, and your commitment to reducing your environmental impact.
In some circumstances we may need to refuse or return donations or turn down offers of support. We will only do this where accepting funds or support would be deemed as high risk, damaging to our reputation, the environment and local communities where we work.
Before entering into a partnership we may ask you to provide information to help us make the case for collaboration. This might include asking to see:
- Safeguarding policy and procedures
- Equality & Diversity Policy
- Environmental or sustainability policies
- Ethical/ Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) policies or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies
