How can Green Work 4 All help me?
GW4A helps people into Green employment and opportunities across London, offering wrap-around support beyond the needs of learning and career development.
Green Work 4 All works with clients who are 18+ and unemployed. As a pre-employment support programme, GW4A offers wrap-around support and pastoral care to help enter Green space employment, courses, apprenticeships or traineeships. Our team can address barriers that clients may face in their learning and career development journey, and therefore offers support, advice and guidance to overcome these barriers.
Additional support can include, but is not limited to –
1. Home and Family
- Childcare – We can help clients gain access to childcare support, or liaise with employers and providers to adopt a flexible working and study patterns
- Financial support – We can help signpost clients to key benefits and or grants and assist them with their applications, and we can also offer guidance in budgeting and financial calculations
- Domestic and external issues – We can signpost clients to key support services, charities and organisations that can support them with issues involving domestic difficulty, and we can attend meetings in support
- Working with ex-offenders – We can supporting people with their ID applications and housing etc
2. Health and Wellbeing
- Mental Health – We can assisting with mental health challenges such as providing mindfulness tips, signposting to support groups and referrals for more in-depth mental health support and diagnosis i.e. with a GP
- ESOL and other learning support
- Meditator – We can attend meetings with clients who are having issues with their employers/tutors to offer support and guidance
3. Organisation and confidence building
- Time-management – We can offer assistance and advice to help clients with time management if they are struggling with attending class, setting up timetables and being held accountable for meetings such as interviews, training, courses etc
- Probation reviews – We can offer guidance and support throughout the probationary process including review meetings
