Groundwork’s wild play sessions teach families how to use the outdoors to play and learn.
What do sessions include?
Sessions are delivered by a member of Groundwork’s Environmental Education team, for parents and their children aged four to eight.
Our projects are tailored to the needs of local families, and sessions can be themed. Typical activities include:
- Natural art
- Wildlife detection
- Scavenger hunt
- Christmas / Easter natural crafts
Sessions encourage creativity and exploration in the natural world, improving physical and mental well-being.

It was absolutely fantastic and the girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
It’s really good to learn child and parents outdoor activities.
Thank you so much for such a lovely afternoon, my daughter was talking about it for ages after and we both had such a great time. The activities were great and age appropriate. We would recommend the sessions.
