About the RoleWorking closely with the Centre Manager, you will lead term-time and holiday sessions, support staff and volunteers, coordinate activities, and help ensure children and young people have a positive, safe and enjoyable experience at The Vench.

Job Purpose

The Vench is a vibrant adventure playground and community centre in the heart of Lockleaze, Bristol. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Senior Youth & Play Worker to help deliver safe, inclusive, and engaging play and youth activities for local children, young people and families.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support youth and play sessions.
• Supervise and coordinate staff and volunteers.
• Plan engaging activities and play opportunities.
• Support safeguarding, health and safety, and positive behaviour.
• Coordinate volunteer recruitment, induction and support.
• Maintain records, registers and database systems.
• Promote activities through local communications and social media.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and community partners.

You will have:
• Experience working with children and young people.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience supporting or supervising staff and volunteers.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive practice.
• A passion for play, youth work and community engagement.

An Enhanced DBS Check with Children's Barred List checks will be required for this role.
