Community Engagement

We are able to deliver volunteer days, school visits, recreational activities and events on a river estuary near you. In March the Hebburn Sea Cadets joined us on an activity day. The Sea Cadets completed a litter pick, cut back Japanese rose (an invasive plant) on the salt marsh and planted wild flowers along the Wagonways walk in Hebburn. In the afternoon the cadets had a marine themed craft activity afternoon using natural materials. The cadets really enjoyed their day:

‘I most enjoyed cutting back the Japanese rose’

‘I learned a lot about invasive species’
