Welcome to the #LoveNature Photo Competition, as seen on @groundworkUK! We are thrilled to invite you to join us in celebrating the beauty of nature and sharing your incredible discoveries and creations in your community, area or neighbourhood.

Organised by Groundwork’s Youth Advisory Board, comprised of 16 passionate young individuals dedicated to bringing positive change to communities, this Instagram contest promises to be an exciting journey of nature exploration.

This competition runs from 28 July to 6 August and it will go beyond the ordinary. It’s not just about snapping pictures; it’s about connecting with nature on a deeper level. The challenges are designed to encourage exploration and appreciation of the diverse wonders that surround us.

Each challenge is an invitation to get creative and explore the beauty of nature in a different way. From showcasing the diverse plant and animal life in your neighbourhood to capturing candid moments of everyday nature, there’s something for everyone. So grab your camera or smartphone, and let your creativity run wild!

Exciting prizes await

Now, let’s talk about the prizes – they are truly worth competing for!

  • 1st Prize: The winner of the first prize will enjoy a memorable glamping experience, complete with £50 towards travel expenses. It’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in nature like never before, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
  • 2nd Prize: The second prize winner will receive a £50 Patagonia voucher, allowing you to gear up for your next outdoor adventure in style.
  • 3rd Prize: The third prize winner will receive £30 worth of M&S ‘picnic’ vouchers, perfect for enjoying a delightful picnic amidst nature’s embrace.

Before entering the competition, please take a moment to read the terms and conditions to ensure smooth sailing.

1. Introduction

By participating in this competition, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Our aim is to foster a love for nature and encourage everyone to appreciate its wonders.

2. Eligibility

If you’re residing in the UK, you’re eligible to take part in the competition. However, Groundwork UK employees, affiliates, and immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

3. How to Enter

The competition consists of seven nature-themed challenges, each with its unique theme.

To enter, just share your story, post, or reel on Instagram and make sure to tag @groundwork_uk and use #lovenature. Each challenge entry grants you one entry into the prize draw.

Want an extra chance to win? Simply follow @groundwork_uk for a bonus entry!

If you have a private account, send us your entry via DMs as an alternative method.

Feel free to participate in all seven challenges or focus on the ones that excite you the most! Some challenges allow up to three entries; check each post for details.

4. Challenges

Here are the exciting challenges awaiting you:

  • Challenge #1 Know Your Roots | Share a fascinating fact with a picture about your favourite park or local green space
  • Challenge #2 No filter required | Get arty and share your best nature landscape photo – sunrise, sunset or nightlife nature… the world’s your oyster!
  • Challenge #3 The world’s a playground | Show us your favourite’s outdoor sport or activity
  • Challenge #4 Nature finds a way | Discover the unexpected in the concrete jungle. Share the coolest, quirkiest pockets of nature you stumble upon.
  • Challenge #5 Picnic? Alpaca lunch! | Send us your Insta-worthy food pairings and picnic spots
  • Challenge #6 Best animal of Instagram | Give us a change of perspective in how we show living creatures
  • Challenge #7 Embrace Everyday Nature! | Nature vibes are everywhere! Show us how you’re getting wild with nature in your day-to-day life.

5. Content Guidelines

Ensure all entries are original and taken by you. Inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content will be disqualified. If your photographs feature other people, get their permission before submitting them.

6. Rights and Usage

By entering the competition, you grant us the non-exclusive right to share your photos on our social media platforms, giving you due credit. You will retain full ownership and copyright of your entries.

7. Deadline, Winner Selection and Prizes

At the end of the competition (6 August 2023), our lucky winners will be randomly selected.

  • 1st Prize: A Glamping experience and £50 towards travel
  • 2nd Prize: £50 Patagonia voucher
  • 3rd Prize: £30 M&S ‘picnic’ vouchers.

8. Winner Announcement and Claiming Prizes

The winners will be announced on our Instagram account and contacted through direct message. To claim the prize, winners must respond within 48 hours by providing an address and contact number. Failure to respond within the specified time may result in the selection of an alternate winner.

9. Publicity

By participating in this competition, you agree to be featured in our winner announcement posts and other promotional materials if you win.

10. Liability

We shall not be held responsible for any technical issues, lost, delayed, or misdirected entries. Make sure your entry is seen in the DMs by our account, and one of our team members will confirm receipt.

11. Compliance with Instagram Rules

This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram. Participants acknowledge that they are providing information to us and not to Instagram.
