Groundwork has announced a three-year partnership with WPS, the specialist property services business owned by the Wates Family, who aim to raise £150,000 for community causes.

As a provider of social housing maintenance, WPS looks after around one in seven social homes nationally, as well as providing facilities management support to thousands of public sector and commercial buildings. Groundwork has partnered with the company to drive positive impact in communities across the UK.

Groundwork and WPS will begin fundraising with activities marking Community and Conservation Month 2026.

Graham Duxbury, Groundwork UK’s Chief Executive said:

“We are delighted to be entering into a three-year charity partnership with WPS. Now more than ever, this level of financial and value-aligned commitment is needed to support our mission to ensure that people and places can thrive. We look forward to working alongside WPS colleagues to make a real difference in communities across the UK.”

David Morgan, Executive Managing Director at WPS, said:

“Groundwork is the perfect partner for us, as we’re both aligned in our purpose of creating places where people can thrive. Whether homes, workplaces or learning hubs, we’re proud to look after the places that matter the most. And it’s not just about the buildings and tenants we care for – we are striving to ensure our work benefits the communities around them, generating more than £100 million in total social, local and economic value across our projects in 2025 alone. As we continue to grow our operations, we are excited to collaborate with Groundwork to increase the impact we can have through targeted activities tailored to community needs in the places we work.”
