• Opal Explore Nature – a free downloadable pond resources pack.
  • British Ecological Society – a pond wall chart and other wall charts can be downloaded, other teaching resources are aimed at 11-14 age group but can be adapted.
  • Previously Pond Conservation, Fresh Water Habitats is an easy to access website, useful for research into pond creatures and information on how to take part in the annual SPAWN COUNT.
  • Frog Life is a charity dedicated to the conservation of amphibians and their habitats.

Small Freshwater Creatures by Lars-Henrik Olsen

A very informative reference book with lots of information about lifecycles and food chains. Excellent images to help with identifying pond creatures.
