Sustainable Business Consultant

Job Summary

Turn sustainability into business strategy. As a Sustainable Business Consultant, you’ll work directly with organisations to build greener operations that actually work – reducing environmental impact whilst cutting costs and protecting their bottom line. This role blends technical expertise with commercial savvy, helping businesses navigate carbon management, resource efficiency, and legal compliance in ways that are both impactful and achievable.

You’ll deliver tailored advice across the board—carbon footprinting, pollution prevention, environmental accreditation, management systems. You’ll conduct risk assessments that protect organisations from environmental incidents and reputational damage. You’ll deliver training that builds capacity. Crucially, you’ll translate complex environmental challenges into practical action plans that businesses can implement tomorrow, not someday.

This is profit-with-purpose work. Your advice transforms how organisations operate, reducing waste, maximising efficiency, and protecting the environment for future generations. Every project you deliver generates income that’s reinvested into Groundwork’s community and environmental programmes—meaning your consultancy work directly funds grassroots action on poverty and climate change.

What we’re looking for: Environmental expertise, commercial awareness, and the ability to translate sustainability jargon into business language. If you’re passionate about proving that environmental action and profitability go hand in hand, join Groundwork’s Sustainable Business Consultants and help organisations build a greener, more profitable future.
