As the country moves out of lockdown, Wilmslow Town Council have recognised the importance of providing additional support to businesses to ensure we have a vibrant town centre where people love to both live and work. To this end, Groundwork have been appointed to deliver a new Town Centre Management Service between April 2021 and March 2022.
Groundwork are a not-for profit organisation that has extensive experience in supporting town centres and business parks to thrive. Groundwork have worked in Cheshire since 1983, and have delivered successful programmes in Northwich town centre, Warrington town centre and Chester city centre supporting businesses to transform their trading environments.
We will be working with local businesses and Wilmslow Town Council over the next 12 months to deliver an investment from Wilmslow town council of up to £50k to support additional events and activities to reanimate the town centre post COVID. We will also be working closely with wider partners including Cheshire East Council and the Local Enterprise Partnership to identify additional investments for the town during 2021/22.
