Youth Worker

Job Summary

Be someone’s constant. As a Youth Worker at Groundwork, you’re building trust-based relationships that genuinely empower young people. You’re the protective adult, the sounding board, the confidant—and yes, the person they can laugh with. This role takes young people from where they are to somewhere better, building resilience that lasts.

You’ll meet young people on their terms, understanding what makes them tick beyond surface behaviours. You’ll create safety—emotional and physical—and celebrate every win, big or small. Your professional curiosity drives you to listen, ask ‘why’, and learn alongside them.

This is life-changing work. You’ll witness the impact of showing up consistently, helping young people overcome real challenges and build brighter futures. In a chaotic world, you’ll be someone who truly sees them.

What we’re looking for: Empathy, patience, and genuine connection matter more than qualifications. Youth work credentials or experience in coaching, social work, or teaching are valuable, but your ability to connect and willingness to learn are what count. Join us and create positive change, one relationship at a time.
