Blackpool CLC is a Community Centre in the heart of Grange Park, Blackpool. It forms part of a community campus that includes a children’s centre, a health centre and a primary school.

Recently refurbished and soon to be re-opened, the CLC will include a community farm, a café, a community shop, library, several community rooms, a community theatre and a number of community service providers. The CLC will be managed on behalf of both Blackpool Council and the Grange Park community by Groundwork CLM.

We are looking to appoint a Development Manager to lead the development of the Centre into an active, vibrant, valued and sustainable community asset that is owned and managed by the local community, for the local community.

Applicants must be dynamic and creative, with proven experience of leading a company, team or department and in developing ‘senior level’ enabling relationships within partner organisations. The successful candidate will be required to manage the Centre in an effective, responsive and collaborative way:

  • Engaging with the local community and ensuring that their needs are at the heart of the Centre's work.
  • Encouraging local services to be run from the Centre.
  • Developing services and facilities at the Centre in an entrepreneurial way.
