Contract: | Permanent , annualised |
Salary: | £28,275 per annum |
Hours: | 37.5 hours per week |
The Walled Garden Café is seeking a hands-on Chef and Supervisor to maintain high-quality food and service standards and support and develop the team, creating a welcoming café environment. This role will work closely with the Café & Kitchen Managers, leading in their absence maintaining the efficient operation of our beloved café, nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Tilgate Park.
Duties will include
- Chef – supporting all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and managing stock.
- Admin Support – Handling invoices, ordering, rostering, and financial records.
- Front-of-House Supervisor – Overseeing customer service and daily operations.
- Stock Ordering – Managing inventory, supplier communication, and stock control.
- Till Reconciliation – Handling transactions, cashing up, and supporting financial processes.
- Key Holder – Responsible for café security and opening/closing procedures
This will suit an experienced Chef with demonstrable experience of working in a catering environment and Food Hygiene practices with knowledge of café & kitchen management processes.
