Green Team Supervisor – Hornsea Mere
JOB SUMMARY
To lead the Hornsea Mere Green Team to deliver, in collaboration with the Hornsea Mere project team and other stakeholders, a practical programme of works to improve Hornsea Mere catchment and to address issues in relation to Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS).
To work within the constraints of the environmental designations for the Mere including being a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Protection Area.
To line manage the Assistant Supervisor and assist with the recruitment and development of a community volunteer scheme, to undertake environmental works needed to improve the Mere and address INNS.
To provide support and supervision to community volunteers focusing on practical conservation, eradication of INNS and environmental renewal on Hornsea Mere and the wider catchment.
