NEWS: Groundwork and People’s Postcode Lottery re-open Grassroots Grants programme
Groundwork and the Community Programme team from People’s Postcode Lottery are once again inviting community groups to apply for funding pots of up to £2,000 for projects across England.
Grassroot Grants offers funding for core organisational costs that support the important work local organisations deliver in their communities. Grants are offered unrestricted and can be used where investment is most needed.
Unrestricted grants of between £500 and £2,000 can be accessed by organisations whose income is under £25,000. Information about the full eligibility criteria is on the Groundwork website.
The grant programme is enabled thanks to funding raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery and is awarded through Postcode Local Trust, Postcode Places Trust, Postcode Neighbourhood Trust and Postcode Society Trust.
It’s great that more groups will be able to reap the benefits of the Grassroots Grants programme for a second time around. Unrestricted funding allows groups to make decisions based on local knowledge and local need and goes a long way to empower local communities. We’re delighted to be once again working with the People’s Postcode Lottery to make this a reality.
