Britain’s young people have certainly got talent and we help them to employ it – by giving them a voice and encouraging them to get involved in local projects, bridge generation gaps and improve the neighbourhoods where they live.
Groundwork has been working with young people for three decades. We understand what a powerful force for good they can be in their neighbourhoods but all too often they feel their voices go unheard.
In partnership with major public, private sector and voluntary partners, we help young people in some of the most challenged and challenging neighbourhoods. From youth clubs and skills training to in-depth counselling about health, drugs and crime, we are making a difference to young lives.
Groundwork gets young people doing things that put them in direct contact with their neighbours, with local shops and businesses and local authorities to make positive changes to where they live.
Their creativity and environmental awareness are powerful assets that we should not and must not ignore.
