Want to develop an area of you school grounds but don't know quite how?
We can create a variety of natural installations and structures to act as a focal point for sustainability and environmental learning, improving the appearance of your school grounds at the same time.
Installations can be useful, fun and a great opportunity for pupils to get their hands dirty. We are always ready for a challenge and have helped children build structures as varied as recycled plastic bottle greenhouses, polytunnels, and cob pizza ovens in school grounds.
We can provide a range of specialist skills including experienced Landscape Architects and support to apply for grant funding.
The possibilities are endless, so please talk to us about your ideas however unusual. We enjoy creating bespoke pieces that are unique to your school.
School grounds are brought to life at Long Lee Primary School
Situated on a hill with a beautiful view of the mature woodland and Keighley below, Long Lee Primary School is a school which places a tremendous importance on getting children outdoors. Groundwork worked with the school’s Parents Teacher Association to develop the school’s outdoor classroom adding woven willow, planting and a pergola to give it both a sense of drama and protection from the worst of the weather.
