Lunch & Grow Workshops: A Community Garden Experience! 

12.00 noon  to 2.00p.m.  

Spend your lunch hour with us—bring your own lunch and take part in one of our free workshops! Learn new ways to nurture nature, help develop this secret rooftop garden, and connect with others in the process. Everyone is welcome—no experience needed.

Wednesday 22nd July

Learn lots about plants – how to ID them, their origins and biodiversity benefits, as well as exciting info on their relationships with pollinators and wildlife. You will also help to make signs for the plants in your secret rooftop garden in the process!

Wednesday 19th August

Learn about the plant species being targeted in Hammersmith & Fulham to increase biodiversity. There may also be an opportunity to help increase biodiversity by helping put up habitat boxes in your secret rooftop garden!

Wednesday 9th September

Help to start getting your secret rooftop garden ready for autumn and winter by filling gaps in planters with perennials and bedding – you will also create your own pot to take home!

Wednesday 21st October 

Our final workshop for the year! Help plant bare root fruit trees like apple, pear and fig, as well as getting your secret rooftop garden ready for flowering and helping pollinators in 2027 by planting bulbs – you will also create your own pot to take home!
