Groundwork London is a leading social and environmental regeneration charity. We deliver over 500 projects each year aimed at: supporting people to stay in education, gain new skills and secure employment; reducing our environmental impact through energy efficiency, waste minimisation, reuse and recycling; and engaging communities and enterprise in improving their environment.
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Achievement Coach to work on the Our Bright Future Programme. Our Bright Future is a national partnership programme led by the Wildlife Trusts and funded by the National Lottery, through the Big Lottery Fund. Each project is giving young people the skills and knowledge to improve their own environment. Groundwork London is delivering one of 31 projects giving young people the skills and knowledge to improve their own environment.
The Senior Achievement Coach will recruit, place and coach 16 to 24 year old NEETs in Green Economy Supported Employment jobs. You will source internal and external employment hosts and work closely with referral routes to fill these opportunities with eligible young people, providing appropriate “in work” support throughout the duration of the placement, proactively intervening to ensure the success of the placement.
You will be customer focused and target-driven and able to provide Advice and Guidance to assist our young people to develop their employability skills. You will have the ability to assist and motivate young people to overcome barriers and progress in sustainable work or apprenticeships. You will hold IAG or equivalent qualification and have experience in delivering a structured IAG Programme.
In addition, you will be self-motivated and be able to work with limited supervision, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with young people, colleagues and external partners. You will be proficient in the collection, management and reporting of data relating to funder requirements, utilising existing paperwork and systems to accurately gather, monitor and report on participant attendance and provide payroll reports to Groundwork Finance team.
