Motivating young people North Yorkshire

We believe young people are part of the solution to improving disadvantaged areas. We help them to participate in their local communities and provide a range of positive activities to build confidence and self-esteem.

Often young people need opportunities to take part in training and gain the expertise for work. Under the Neet Programme, young people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEETs) can take courses in construction and health and safety with the help of Groundwork. Courses including joinery, plumbing and tiling as well as CSCS training and CIEH Health and Safety are available for young people aged 16-19 or 16-25 with a disability.

We also work with schools to support ‘at risk’ young people, providing them with positive experiences and building the skills which will allow them to move forwards with education or training.
