What we do at Groundwork Greater Nottingham

Groundwork Greater Nottingham is a committed regeneration organisation set up in 1990. Its vision is to inspire people in their communities and to help build inspirational places for a vibrant, healthy and safe society, which respects the local and global environment and where individuals and enterprise prosper.

All our projects are community driven and involve working collaboratively to improve the quality of life for people living within the most disadvantaged areas of the city of Nottingham and the boroughs of Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe. We work in partnership with groups such as tenants and residents groups, friends of parks and woodlands, community allotment associations, schools, youth groups and specialist groups such as disability and refugee groups.

Our projects include: play activities, youth work, support into training and employment, health and environmental projects, and landscaping. They are delivered and supported by 4 teams: the Places Team, People Team, Employment Team and Corporate Services Team and are delivered by a diversely skilled workforce including community development workers, youth and play workers, education workers, employment and training specialists, business advisors and landscape architects.
