St Peter’s Job Club
Duration: End of September 2026
Background
St Peter’s ward in Tameside has higher than average number on economic inactivity residents and unemployment rates. Groundwork supports people to improve their life chances so that everyone can feel good in themselves and work in fulfilling, futureproofed careers.

What we’re doing
We will be running the St Peter’s Job Club from our office in Ashton, providing a space where local residents can drop in and find out about jobs, local training and support services. Attendees will have access to ICT facilities, information and resources, and our Employment Advisors will be on hand throughout to provide individual advice, guidance and support to meet the needs of each person.
Our Job Club will provide more than just employment advice, maximising the benefits for local residents. Those who attend will address the different barriers in their life and have a regular opportunity where they can reduce social isolation.
We will support a minimum of 65 residents from St Peter’s ward on the Job Club project.
