Duration: March 2025

Background

We all know that first impressions count, therefore it’s easy to understand that restricted access to suitable interview clothing can be a barrier to getting into work.

That’s why we have set up Working Wardrobe; a personal styling service which gives people the outfit and confidence they need to get the job that they deserve.

What we’re doing

Groundworks’ Working Wardrobe team, along with a range of partners who support people into employment, arrange one to one mobile styling appointments for residents.

At the appointment clients will work with a personal stylist to choose clothing, shoes and accessories for their interview at no cost to them, as well as receiving advice from our team of employment specialists who will help with interview preparation.

Those who are successful at their job interview are welcomed back to select a capsule wardrobe of clothing to wear at their new workplace.

For those who require more employment support, our team is available for:

  • Support with signposting
  • Notifying about vacancies in other organisations
  • Connecting with additional services
