Co-designing Centenary Gardens in Old Trafford
Our Landscape Architects worked with Trafford Council and Old Trafford Community School to develop Centenary Gardens in Old Trafford.
The team designed a space which included:
- Wetland habitat with marginal planting
- Informal play area
- Wildflower meadows
- Community food growing beds
- Areas for relaxation and community gathering
The design won ‘Best schemed under 1ha’ from the Landscape Institute and received 10/10 for sustainability with the design including recycled materials for the bridge, reclaimed alley kerbs for stepping stones and recycled timber planters.
