Designing Fairfield Hospital Grounds in Bury

Groundwork’s Landscape Architects worked with the Pennine Care Trust to transform their external space at Fairfield Hospital in Bury into an attractive, functional garden space for patients.

Before:

The design included:

• Multi-use games area with covered, tensile roof and floodlights
• Outdoor gym
• Relaxation garden
• Food growing zone
• Outdoor seating space with projector

The project also improved the resilience of Fairfield hospital grounds, adding a SUDs car park.
