Volunteer to help enhance habitats at Harphurhey Ponds
This autumn and winter, Groundwork is bringing local people together to enhance the woodlands, ponds and wildlife habitats at Harpurhey Ponds. Through a series of supported volunteering activities and green skills training sessions, residents can gain practical experience, meet new people and make a lasting difference to both their community and the local environment.
This is your chance to make a real difference to your local green space while developing your skills and meeting local, likeminded people.
Our programme of work includes:
- Woodland management: Helping remove invasive shrubs, thinning tree canopies and replanting woodland with diverse species.
- Pond management: Helping remove litter and waste from the ponds before managing the vegetation around the pond, leading to a healthier water habitat.
