Background

The Groundwork team are currently engaging with residents in Edgeley in Stockport, and Higher Folds in Leigh, to understand your ideas on how our neighbourhoods can become more resilient.

Resilient communities can withstand, recover from, and thrive in the face of climate disasters, which are increasingly on the rise, whether extreme temperatures or flash flooding.

Volunteers wanted

We’re looking for local community champions who are passionate about making their neighbourhood a better place.

You’ll learn skills and techniques from the Groundwork team related to community engagement and climate change and together, we’ll seek to collect diverse views from across your neighbourhoods.

You’ll need to be available approximately one day per week for an 8- week duration.
