Celebrate the places in Tameside that matter to you

Want to uncover hidden stories, explore your local area and help create Tameside’s first-ever Youth Hidden Histories Trail?

Join our youth-led project and take part in a range of walks, workshops and hands-on activities, chosen by the young people involved. Together, we’ll explore local parks, waterways and neighbourhoods, discovering how these places have changed over time and uncovering the people, events and stories that have shaped them.

As the project develops, you’ll work with heritage, nature and creative professionals to design and create a permanent Hidden Histories Trail that will be enjoyed by local communities for years to come. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with Outdoor Collaborative to create digital content, sharing the stories, places and issues that matter most to you.
