Green Careers Advice
We help teachers and careers advisors to understand the emerging green economy, how all jobs will become green jobs, and what skills young people will need to prosper in the future.
Meeting Greater Manchester’s 2038 net zero target will require significant changes across many areas of the local economy, which will only be achieved if the workforce have the right skills and competencies needed within this growing green economy.
Groundwork provide information and support to help teachers and careers advisors in schools and colleges to:
- Develop a better understanding of the current and emerging job opportunities within the green economy, and the associated skills needs.
- Develop an understanding that every job needs to be a green job as we transition to a low carbon economy, and what this means for all jobs and careers for young people.
- Make connections with key employers and where to access existing careers education materials on this subject.
