How can you help your community in the event of a flood?

Communities Prepared joins forces with Environment Agency and Cambridgeshire County Council for free resilience evening.

In light of recent weather emergencies, three local organisations are running a free event exploring how Bar Hill and surrounding Cambridgeshire communities can build resilience to floods.

Attendees will hear from key agencies on how to set up and manage community volunteer groups, local volunteering opportunities, and the support on offer from Communities Prepared, as well as exploring ways in which to build resilience to other severe weather emergencies.

The event will take place at Octogon in Bar Hill, CB23 8EH on 12 March from 6.30-8.30pm.

The evening will also include the opportunity to network, share experiences and learn from one another. Interested community members, coordinators and members of existing local flood warden/community emergency volunteer groups, and emergency professionals will all be in attendance.

Refreshments will be provided.
