Location: Great Parks Community Centre, Paignton, with travel around Torbay.
Contract: Fixed Term Contract – 12 months Fixed term
Salary: £24,000 to £25,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives in the Torbay area through two  projects funded by Torbay Council.

Summary of the role:

Our Green Community Spaces Project Officer will be responsible for delivering two exciting and innovative Green & Growing Schemes programs across Torbay.

The first, to lead and facilitate the green scheme works of the Melville Regeneration Project, embedding a ‘community comes first’ approach throughout the delivery.

The second to deliver three on the ground growing schemes as an integral partner of the Food Sustainability Partnership in Torbay, developing on the ground projects, putting the community at the heart of your thinking, engaging residents to build understanding and an ethos of sustainable food, trailblazing new ideas to deliver innovative on the ground growing projects. The officer will focus on three test and learn growing projects, one in Torbay (likely to be in the Melville area), one in Paignton and one in Brixham, engaging residents, facilitating the work with a clear focus building community engagement
