FEB21C005 Green Team Assistant Supervisor (GRCF)

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Supervisor to support the ‘Green Team’ employment training and community volunteering scheme, focusing on practical conservation and environmental renewal in parks and greenspaces.

You will be working with trainees and volunteers to deliver environmental improvements whilst developing their skills and employability. You will be responsible for delivering practical work on a range of local environmental regeneration projects that improve quality of life for local communities.

The Green Recovery Challenge Fund is funded by Defra and is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England and the Environment Agency.

As part of this role you will:

  • Support environmental improvement schemes in local urban areas.
  • Supervise and manage a team of volunteers and trainees, undertaking conservation activities.
  • Support and mentor volunteers and trainees in order to make them more employable. Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements (including Covid-19 safety measures).
  • Undertake and support delivery of training designed to link project activities.

You must have practical experience of landscaping/ conservation work and delivering project within communities, as well as having a current UK Driving Licence and have access to your own vehicle.
